Julian Clark Thompson, 84, of the 3100 block of Indian River Road, died Oct. 1, 1996, in his home.
A native of Grandy, N.C., Mr. Thompson was a retired window dresser for Rices-Nachmans and a member of Moyock Assembly of God.
Survivors include his wife, Grace Wallace Thompson; a daughter, Catherine S. Culpepper of Coral Springs, Fla.; sons, John Clark Thompson of Atlanta, Lucian L. Thompson of Virginia Beach and Larry A. Thompson of Chesapeake; a brother, Winton Thompson; 12 grandchildren, Trace Thompson, Carmen Bolden, Robin Mosely, Dawn Mayfield, Jerry Spruill Jr., Jesse Thompson, Michelle Elliott, Kelly Gilbert, Vanessa Gilbert, Tyler Thompson, Dakota Thompson and Sierra Thompson; 12 great-grandchildren; two nieces, Marjie Stevenson and Joanne Bell.
A funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, by Pastor Doug Hayes and Pastor Joe Bougher. Burial will be in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens.
