Mrs. Daniel J. (Evelyn) Pleasants, 91, of 207 E. Church St., died Oct. 1, 1996, at Wesley Pines Retirement Center, Lumberton.
Mrs. Pleasants was a retired music teacher. She taught piano in Rowland and Fairmont for many years.
Mrs. Pleasants is survived by her husband, Daniel J. Pleasants; one son, Daniel John Pleasants of Charlotte, N.C.; two daughters, Ruth Evelyn Pleasants of Virginia Beach and Jeanette Casuccio of Rowland; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held today at 11 a.m. in Rowland Presbyterian Church, conducted by the Rev. William Link. Burial will follow in Rowland Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the daughter's home, Mrs. Jeanette Casuccio, at 208 S. Bond St., Rowland. Donations may be made to the Rowland Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 449, Rowland, N.C. 28383, or to the charity of your choice. Gaskins Funeral Home is in charge.
