Anthony T. Johnson Jr., 74, of the 5400 block of Bayberry Drive, died Oct. 1, 1996.
A native of Warren County, N.C., Mr. Johnson was a retired employee of Norfolk and Western with 33 years of service. He also retired from NAS Norfolk after 15 years. He was also a member of the Norfolk United Methodist Church Church and a graduate of Temple University.
Survivors include his wife, Ethel M. Johnson; daughters, Angela Harrison, Judy Walden, Maria Davis and Veronica Calvin. Mr. Johnson was the son of the late Mary M. Midder Johnson and Anthony T. Johnson Sr.; and six grandchildren; four sons-in-law and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in Norfolk United Methodist Church, Lambert's Point, Norfolk, by Pastor Finley D. Jones. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk. A wake service will be held Friday at Metropolitan Funeral Home from 6 to 7 p.m. Friends may join the family at their residence.
