I wish to commend architecture critic Edwin Slipek Jr. for the very timely and excellent articles that appeared (Sept. 17 and 25) in the Daily Break.
However, Mr. Slipek, as so many who have expressed opinions ``for/against'' the proposed MacArthur Center, failed to discuss the flow of commercial traffic (deliveries) to and from the center and the parking garage.
Traffic should be analyzed in depth. Remembering the backup at the toll booths on Route 44, in my opinion there will be strong objections from customers who will have to pay to park. In addition, women customers and handicapped individuals dislike vertical parking structures.
It is strongly suggested that the shopping mall developer and the two major retailers consider a thorough study of parking and the commercial traffic to the center.
