Ludie Lee Eure Edwards, 87, of Route 3 died Oct. 4, 1996, in Guardian Care Nursing Home.
A native of Gates County, N.C., Mrs. Edwards was a homemaker and member of Cool Spring Baptist Church, Eure, and the widow of Frank Olin Edwards.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty Ann Earley of Harrellsville, N.C.; a son, Delma Whyatt Edwards of Ahoskie; a sister, Clementine Eure of Portsmouth; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Garrett Funeral Home, Ahoskie, by the Rev. Robert May and the Rev. Wayne Gardner. Burial will be in Eure Christian Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today and other times at the home of Jimmie and Betty Ann Earley, Chowanoke Shores, Harrellsville. Memorials may be made to Ahoskie Rescue Squad.
