Ruth T. Womack, 57, of the 4100 block of Richardson Road died Oct. 5, 1996.
A native of Sanford, N.C., Mrs. Womack was the owner of Womack Contractors, a local road builder. She was the widow of Elmer C. Womack and a member of Broadway United Methodist Church, Broadway, N.C. She was a member of the Hampton Roads Utility and Heavy Contractors Association.
Survivors include her daughter, Ann B. Oldham of Sanford; a son, Percy C. Burns III of Virginia Beach; her mother, Louise Hunter Thomas of Broadway; sisters, Shirley Buchanan and Dot Anderson, both of Broadway; a brother, Gary H. Thomas of Broadway; and five grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Broadway United Methodist Church by the Rev. Douglas Currin. Burial will be in Broadway Cemetery. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
