Belva Perry Lawrence, 82, died Oct. 4, 1996.
A native of Bertie County, Mrs. Lawrence was a daughter of the late George and Mattie Perry and the wife of the late Andrew J. ``A.J.'' Lawrence. Mrs. Lawrence was a member of Merry Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Nancy L. Briley of Edenton and Jane Lawrence of Greenville, S.C.; and a son, Jack Lawrence of Edenton; two sisters, Mattie V. Smithwick of Windsor and Ruth Phelps of Ahoskie; a brother, Cecil Perry of Windsor; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted at 3 p.m. today in Edgewood Cemetery, Windsor. The family will be at the residence of Ray and Nancy Briley, 212 Shannonhouse Road, Edenton. Evans Funeral Home, Edenton, is in charge.
