DOROTHY W. EARL

Dorothy W. Earl, 74, died Oct. 6, 1996, at her home in Arlington.

Mrs. Earl was born in Vicksburg, Mich., graduated from Michigan State University and received her master's degree from Virginia Tech. She taught business classes for Fairfax County Adult Education and also taught at Northern Virginia Community College. She was the widow of Lt. Dennis A. Wagner II, who died in 1956, and Maj. James R. Earl, who died in 1995. She was a member of Cherrydale United Methodist Church in Arlington and taught Sunday School for 30 years. Mrs. Earl also maintained a home in Virginia Beach.

Survivors include two sons, Dennis A. Wagner III of Vienna, Va., and Frank W. Wagner of Virginia Beach, a member of the Virginia House of Delegates; two stepchildren, Randy Earl of Manassas and Linda Earl Yarr of Falls Church, Va.; a brother, Donald Felker of Falls Church; and 11 grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Cherrydale United Methodist Church by the Rev. Robert Knox. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Northern Virginia, 6400 Arlington Blvd., Falls Church, Va. 22042 or Cherrydale United Methodist Church, 3701 Lorcom Lane, Arlington, Va. 22207.
