Richard Edgar ``Jake'' Jackson Sr., 76, of 117 Haughton Road, died Oct. 6, 1996, at his residence.
A native of Perquimans County, Mr. Jackson was a son of the late Lennie Pecolia Russell and Thomas Jefferson Jackson Sr. and the husband of Margaret Christine Cayton Jackson. Mr. Jackson was a retired farmer.
Surviving other than his wife are his daughter, Lynn J. Ober of Edenton; his son, Richard E. Jackson Jr. of Edenton; three brothers, Thomas J. Jackson Jr. and Carlton Jackson, both of Edenton and Talbert Jackson of Roper, N.C.; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Beaver Hill Cemetery by Rev. Ralph Knight. The family will receive friends at the Evans Funeral Home in Edenton today from 7 until 8:30 p.m.
