FEMALE SAILORS, TOO

Once again, U.S. Navy equal opportunity suffers a setback!

I'm referring to your Sept. 28 article about the USS Enterprise's ``steel beach'' picnic. Capt. Mike Malone made a comment about how his crew would be ``longing to be back home, to see mom or their wives or children.''

Oops! Seems he forgot (as most senior officers try to do) that there are female sailors on board that also just might be missing their husbands or boyfriends.
