William Tilton Jones, 80, died Oct. 6, 1996, in a Bronx hospital.
He was a native of Norfolk and son of the late Richard J. and Ruth Black Jones. He was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School and a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Norfolk. He was retired from a New York building supply company.
Survivors include his wife, Blanche Jones; a daughter, Ileene J. Ford of Bronx; a grandson, Charles Ford III of Bronx; a god son, Charles A. Bartee III; god granddaughter, Ileene Laboy; god grandson, Ricky Laboy; a sister, Dorothy J. Walton of Norfolk; a sister-in-law, Grace Jones of Virginia Beach; a brother-in-law, Adolphus Walton of Norfolk; a nephew, Freddie Jones of Virginia Beach; two nieces, Ann D. Williams of Norfolk and Paula D. Farrior of Danville, Va.
A funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday in McCalls Bronxwood Funeral Home, Bronx. Burial will be at 9 a.m. Thursday in Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx. Crocker Funeral Home provided local information.
