Dorothy Lee Hunter DuBose, 89, died Oct. 7, 1996, at Southampton Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. DuBose was born in Grand Junction, Tenn., and was the daughter of the late Robert Eldridge and Mary Lee Seabrook Hunter. She was a graduate of Converse College in Spartanburg, S.C. and the Presbyterian School of Christian Education, Richmond. Mrs. DuBose was a homemaker and former teacher. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Staunton, Va.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Dr. Samuel Wilds DuBose Jr.; three daughters, Dorothy Lee Gilbert and her husband, Richard, of Franklin, Mary Louise D. McQuary and her husband, Willard, of Elbert, Colo., and Anne Wilds McKinney and her husband, Preston, of Cibolo, Texas; a sister, Lyle Kenyon of Dallas, Texas; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, Staunton, by the Rev. Dr. Taylor Todd. The family will receive friends at The Village at Woods Edge from 7 to 8 p.m. today and suggests that memorial donations be made to a favorite charity. Wright Funeral Home is in charge.
