Cheryl Dawn Clites, 35, of the 1600 block of Michigan Ave., formerly of Cumberland, Md., went to her home in heaven on Sept. 28, 1996.
Born Sept. 15, 1961, in Cumberland, she was the beloved daughter of Carl R. Lewis Sr. and Juanita G. Heavener Lewis of Virginia Beach.
Ms. Clites was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and was a secretary.
Besides her parents, she is survived by her son, Jason Clites of Virginia Beach; two daughters, Jessica Clites of Portsmouth and Victoria Butler of Virginia Beach; two brothers, Carl Lewis Jr. of Charleston, S.C., and Larry Lewis of Waterloo, Iowa; and a very special friend, Larry Butler of Virginia Beach.
Memorial services and interment were held in Cumberland.
