In response to Guy Friddell's Sept. 23 column, ``Ginsburg sets standard as VMI readies for women'': Men also have distinctive strengths. Would that some way could be devised to convey to adolescent females the stamina required to get into the ring and go 12 rounds with Mike Tyson or play across the line from Bruce Smith for three hours on Sunday. Before that ordeal, most women would quail.
