Flossie M. Young of the 2500 block of Oconee Ave. died Oct. 5, 1996.
She was the widow of William Young and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, Virginia Beach.
Survivors include her sons, James Steed of Virginia Beach and Jammie Steed of Norfolk; sisters, Clara Steed of Norfolk and Alice Carter of Virginia Beach; brothers, Will L. Steed of Virginia Beach, James Steed and David Steed, both of North Carolina, and Charles Steed of New Jersey; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted at noon Friday in New Hope Baptist Church by the Rev. E. Ray Cox. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The family will be at 6201 Appaloosa Court, Virginia Beach. They will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday in Community Funeral Home, Virginia Beach Chapel.
