Elner B. McLaurin, 86, of the 1300 block of Francis St., died Oct. 8, 1996, in a local hospital.
Born in Princess Anne County, she was the widow of Archie McLaurin. Mrs. McLaurin was a retired domestic.
Survivors include four daughters, Helen McLaurin, Pernice Cofield, Anneva Eaton and Virginia Jones; two sons, Archie L. McLaurin, Robert L. McLaurin; a sister, Lottie Fentress; 19 grandchildren; a host of great- and great-great-grandchildren; three sons-in-law and a daughter-in-law.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Friday in Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Chesapeake, by the Rev. Rayphield Clay. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Cemetery. Family and friends will assemble at the residence. Graves Funeral Home is handling arrangements. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
