Merle Virginia Brickhouse, 85, died Oct. 7, 1996, in Houston, Texas.
A native of Christiansburg, Va., Mrs. Brickhouse was employed at the Naivette Shop for many years. She was the widow of both Frank J. DeSeamus and Joseph B. Brickhouse. She was a member of the Christian Temple of Norfolk and attended Foundry United Methodist Church, Virginia Beach. She was a member of Rebekah Lodge Virginia Chapter (NU)13, L.A.P.M. (NU)17 and First Family of Virginia Jamestown Society.
Survivors include her daughters, Frances DeSeamus McDaniel of Kingwood, Texas, and Shirley DeSeamus Corbitt of Virginia Beach; a sister, Georgia Edwards of Norfolk; a brother, Robert Richardson of Jacksonville, Fla.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Dr. Chapel, by the Rev. James Mahaffey. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
