RUBYE F. MARKHAM

Rubye Fuller Markham, 68, of the 2400 block of Carnation Lane, died Oct. 10, 1996, at her residence.

She was born in Oxford, Miss., on Feb. 11, 1928. She was a homemaker and a Methodist.

She is survived by her husband, George Lister Markham; a daughter, Jeferie Carter of Chesapeake; two sons, George Lister Markham III of Virginia Beach, Wade Markham of Cherry Hill, N.J.; two sisters, Jeffie Austin of Arlington, Tenn., Cecil Fuller of Byhalia, Miss.; a brother, John Fuller of Myrtle, Miss.; and four grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Old Hollywood Cemetery, Elizabeth City. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in Twiford Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, Great Bridge, Chesapeake. The family will receive friends at Twiford Memorial Chapel, Elizabeth City, after the funeral service Saturday. Twiford Funeral Home, Chesapeake, is in charge.
