Idee Johnson, 78, of the 2300 block of Seaboard Road, departed this life Thursday, Oct. 10, 1996, in Virginia Beach General Hospital.
Mr. Johnson was born in Wilmington, N.C., and was the widower of Ellen T. Johnson. He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Norfolk and retired from the Army and from the Naval Air Station after more than 25 years of service as an electrician.
Survivors include two sons, Idee Johnson II of Durham, N.C. and Bradford Thomas Johnson of Chesapeake; a brother, Samuel Tyler of Norfolk; and an aunt, Bessie J. Omohundro of Norfolk. He was predeceased by his parents, Armenter and Joseph Johnson.
A funeral will be held at noon Wednesday in Hale Funeral Home with the Rev. Harold Cobb officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
