Ann ``Tommie'' Soady, of the 5100 block of Norvella Ave., died Oct. 14, 1996, in a local hospital.
Born in Hertford, N.C., she was a retired comptroller and member of Norview United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, William H. Soady Jr.; sons, William H. Soady III and his wife, Pat, of Virginia Beach, Allen R. Soady and his wife, Tanya, of Sarasota, Fla.; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many beloved friends.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Norview United Methodist Church by the Rev. John F. Shappell. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Columba Ecumenical Ministries, 2114 Lafayette Blvd., Norfolk, Va.
