Russell Scott, of the 1500 block of W. Circle, died Oct. 12, 1996, in McGuire Veterans Hospital, Richmond.
A native of Southampton County, he was the husband of the late Maria Hawkins Scott and son of the late William ``Doc'' and Daisy Worrell Scott. Mr. Scott was a disabled veteran.
Survivors include his sons, Rex Scott and Stuart Scott; daughters, Anita Scott Lee and Rita Scott Warren; brothers, Johnnie B. Scott, Ralph Scott, Vernon Lee Scott, Jesse L. Scott, William E. Scott; sisters, Mrs. Bernice Jackson and Mrs. Shirley Parker; sons-in-law, Clarence ``Bubba'' Lee and Iven Warren; and three grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Elvin Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. R.S. Steele. Burial will be in Southview Cemetery.
