Norman McClinton ``Pie Man'' Francis Jr. of the 900 block of Nelson St. died Oct. 14, 1996, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
A native of Norfolk, he was a custodian for Old Dominion University and a member of St. John A.M.E. Church, Norfolk.
Survivors include his daughter, Stephanie Cherry of Norfolk; four sisters, Wilhelminia Hurst, Iris Spruill, Catherine Carr, Carolyn Hardy, all of Norfolk; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Friday in St. John A.M.E. Church, Norfolk, by the Rev. I.W. Knight. Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 21, in Quantico National Cemetery, Quantico, Va. The remains will be ready for viewing at 3 p.m Thursday. The remains will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Friday. The family will assemble at 902 Nelson St. at 11 a.m. for the procession. Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
