Hazel Boyd, 89, of the 200 block of Gale Ave., died Oct. 15, 1996, in her home.
Born in Norfolk County, she was the widow of Richard Boyd Jr. and a member of Rehoboth A.M.E. Church, Chesapeake.
Survivors include a stepdaughter, Helen Whitfield of Chesapeake; five grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Rehoboth A.M.E. Church, Chesapeake, by the Rev. Willie L. White. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Norfolk. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at noon today. The body will be taken to the church at 11 a.m. Saturday.
