There was no motive or suspect Thursday night in the shooting death of a 17-year-old male, police said.
Police were called about 7:30 p.m. to the 2900 block of Mapleton Ave. for a gunshot victim. When they arrived, they found the teen lying behind a house.
Police did not give the teen's name because he had not been positively identified. His body was taken to the state medical examiner's office for an autopsy.
An investigation is continuing. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Line at 664-4040.
