WILLIAM H. COLE

William H. "Buddy" Cole, 66, died Oct. 25, 1996, in Hillhaven Rehabilitation and Nursing Center after a long illness.

Mr. Cole was born in Fort Benning, Ga., and lived most of his life in Virginia Beach. He was a member of Eastern Shore Chapel Episcopal Church, Virginia Beach.

Mr. Cole served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was a lifetime member and past president of The Virginia Funeral Supply Salesmen's Association and a member of the Augusta Military Academy Alumni Association.

Survivors include his wife, Constance K. Cole; a daughter, Susan, and her husband, the Rev. Robert Friend; a son, Bill, and his wife, Karen Cole; and three grandchildren, Taylor Friend, Justin Cole and Annemarie Cole.

A memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. today in Eastern Shore Chapel Episcopal Church, 2020 Laskin Road, by the Rev. Andrew MacBeth, with a reception following the service. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Virginia Beach Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 945 Virginia Beach, Va. 23451. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, is in charge.
