Ethel Burt White, 85, of the 1600 block of Cougar Ave., died Oct. 26, 1996.
Born in Plymouth, N.C., she was the widow of Hodey B. White Sr.
Survivors include two sons, Hodey B. White Jr. and his wife, Becky, of Norfolk, and Joseph W. White of Virginia Beach; granddaughters, Paulette M. Frantz and her husband, Thomas J. Frantz Jr., of Virginia Beach; friend, Diane L. Ramp of Virginia Beach; and two great-grandchildren, Lauren M. Frantz and Brandon Frantz, both of Virginia Beach. She was predeceased by a daughter, Betty Ann White Ramp.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday by Dr. John R. Monroe in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today. Following the service on Tuesday the family will receive friends at 1621 Cougar Ave., Norfolk. Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association.
