A 9-year-old girl, shot by her father at the same time he killed her sister, mother and then took his own life, died early Sunday from her injuries, police said.
Melissa Vasquez died after undergoing surgery late Saturday at Riverside Regional Medical Center.
Police said she was shot Saturday evening by her father, Faustino Antonio Vasquez, 41. Also shot and killed were his wife, Diane Vasquez, 34; and their other daughter, Megan, 7.
The victims were found in their home in the 600 block of Chelsea Place in the Lee Hall section.
