ETHEL H. DAVID

Ethel Mae Harris David, 73, of the 1100 block of Alden Place, died Oct. 26, 1996, in a local hospital.

A native of Norfolk, she was a member of New Central Baptist Church, Norfolk, and was retired from R.H. Macy, New York City.

She was the daughter of the late William and Gladys Harris. Survivors include two daughters, Cheryl David and Mildred Mimms, both of New York City; two sons, Gleason Williams Jr. of Norfolk and William David of New York City; a sister, Mildred Banks of Norfolk; 10 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in New Central Baptist Church, 712 Walker Ave., Norfolk, by the Rev. James Missick. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Pretlow and Sons' Funeral Home. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
