A fire that began about midnight Monday destroyed a house in the 1400 block of 37th Street, a fire official said. Investigators said the fire was intentionally set.
Firefighters received a call for a fire at the two-story house about 12:15 a.m. When they arrived, they found heavy fire and smoke. No one was reported injured in the blaze, which took about 30 minutes to control.
Although neighbors told fire investigators that someone had been living in the house, no one was located Monday night, said Jack Goldhorn, spokesman for Fire and Paramedical Services.
