Myrtle Mae Lawson, 46, of the 12000 block of Tucker Swamp Road, died Tuesday, Oct. 29, 1996, at Louise Obici Memorial Hospital, Suffolk.
Her husband was the late Jack Lawson. She was a native of Norfolk and daughter of the late Garfield and Mamie Benton Mercer. She was a house cleaner.
Survivors include a daughter, Donna Lynn Wilson of Norfolk; four sisters, Mary Dean Franklin of Zuni, Barbara Jean Mercer of North Carolina, Florence Ann Scrivenger and Alma Joyce Mercer, both of Norfolk; brothers, Eugene Mercer of Zuni, and Floyd Lec Mercer of Charlotte, N.C.
A graveside funeral will be conducted in Wakefield Cemetery on Thursday, Oct. 31, 1996, at noon by the Rev. Steve Bradshaw. Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, is in charge.
