Ethel L. ``Mousie'' Carney, 76, of the 800 block of Moore Farm Lane, died Oct. 27, 1996, in Obici Hospital.

She was a native of Norfolk County.

Survivors include two daughters, Janice Carney of Portsmouth and Doris Roberts of Philadelphia; sisters, Wanda F. Samuel and Susie R. Porter, both of Portsmouth; brothers, Clarence Pittman of Norfolk, Vernon Pittman of Portsmouth, Daniel Porter of Chesapeake, William Porter of Chesapeake, Samuel Porter of Portsmouth, Thomas Porter of Baltimore, and Johnnie Earl Porter of Edenton, N.C.; two grandchildren, Lisa and Kevin Carney, both of Portsmouth; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and faithful companions.

The viewing will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday in Fisher Funeral Home. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake.
