LILLIAN V. SIMMONS

Lillian Victoria Simmons, 76, of the 6000 block of Clear Springs Road, died of natural causes Oct. 28, 1996, in Lake Taylor Hospital.

A native of Currituck County, N.C., Ms. Simmons retired 30 years ago as a secretary from the Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority. She was a member of Third Baptist Church, Portsmouth, and the Crusaders Club, the Senior Choir, Sunday School Class (NU)5 and the Senior Missionaries and the Baptist Training Union.

Survivors include her sister, Marion Taylor of New York, N.Y.; and a host of relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Third Baptist Church by the Rev. Joe B. Fleming. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The family and friends will assemble at Hale Funeral Home for the procession to the church on Friday at 10 a.m.
