I find it interesting that this Republican Congress has been labeled by the president, the Democrats, the unions and the press as ``extremist.'' However, 100 percent of the Contract With America has been passed by the House, as promised, and 65 percent has been signed into law, which President Clinton is now taking credit for.
Equally interesting is that this ``extremist'' Republican Congress passed a bill to construct a Washington memorial for Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., something the previous 12 years of Democratic-controlled Congress would not do.
