I'm writing in regard to Mal Vincent's movie reviews in the Oct. 25 paper.
I'm wondering how he rates his movies because, for as long as I can remember, his ratings have been different from mine, my family's, and friends.
For example, he gave ``Sleepers'' only 2 1/2 stars. Now, when I saw it, I thought it was definitely Oscar material. The actors gave outstanding performances, and it was one of the best movies so far this year.
Another example is ``Independence Day.'' Yes, I agree it was a great movie but it wasn't ``Sleepers'' or ``A Time to Kill''; yet, it got more stars.
His reviews are usually negative and I was wondering when he was going to write something positive, and something that I agree with.
