Robert Claude Johnson, 87, died Monday, Nov. 4, 1996, in Montgomery Regional Hospital.
He was born in Illinois on July 11, 1909. He is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Fay and Neil Hagreen of Newport, Lana Hathaway of Portsmouth; one son, Ray Johnson of Pilot; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; one sister, Indiana; and a special friend, Millie Amos of Blacksburg.
There will be no service at this time and the family requests no flowers. The family would like memorial donations to be made to the Blacksburg Rescue Squad, 200 Progress St., N.E., Blacksburg, Va. 24060 or to the Newport-Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church, Newport, Va. 24128. Arrangements made by McCoy Funeral Home.
