Victor Irvin Hunter Jr., 53, of the 700 block of City Park Ave., died Nov. 3, 1996, at his residence.
Born in Norfolk, he was employed by Commonwealth Gas and was a former pastor of Antioch Christian Church, Windsor. Mr. Hunter was also a member of Atlantic Shores Baptist Church, Virginia Beach, and president of local UA Union for Commonwealth Gas.
Survivors include his wife, Euvera A. Hunter; two sons, Victor I. Hunter III of Portsmouth, John Steffenson Hunter of Chesapeake; two grandchildren, Amanda Lynn Hunter, Victor David Hunter; mother, Hilda M. Adams of Portsmouth; sisters and brother, Patty, Mike and Eva.
A funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Pinecrest Baptist Church by the Rev. Tom Potter. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel.
