Lucy Hofler Savage of the 600 block of W. 26th St. died Dec. 31, 1996, in a Chesapeake hospital.
Mrs. Savage was a native of Norfolk and a retired childcare provider.
She is survived by her husband, Meredith M. Savage Sr.; two sons, Thomas W. Hofler of Tyner, N.C., and Meredith M. Savage Jr. of Chesapeake; two daughters, Regina Baxton-Graeber of Norfolk and Diane Savage Riddick of Jacksonville, Fla.; 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be conducted at First Baptist Church Bolling Brook, 1201 Filbert St., Norfolk, at noon Saturday. Burial will be in Hofler Memorial Cemetery, Gates, N.C. The family will receive friends at 1514 Plantation Lakes Circle, Chesapeake, from 7 to 8 p.m. today. Fitchett Funeral Home is in charge.
