Katherine Stevenson Mentzer, 71, passed away Dec. 20, 1996. She was the beloved wife of Russell for 53 years. Katherine was the loving mother of Russell of Minneapolis and Steven and Robert, both of Virginia Beach. She was also the dear grandmother of Jessica, Shawn, Russell and Katherine.
Katherine was born in Winnsboro, S.C., July 6, 1925, the daughter of John Kennedy Stevenson and Fannie Elizabeth Boulware. She resided in Pottstown, Pa., and Orlando, Fla, before moving to Virginia Beach 22 years ago.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel, Virginia Beach. A graveside service will be conducted at the Associated Reformed Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Winnsboro, on Saturday, Jan. 11, 1997. Services will be conducted by Pope Funeral Home, Winnsboro.
