Mrs. Marion McWhorter Webb Tyler, 96, died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 1996.
She was the widow of Robert Basye Webb and David Garner Tyler. She was born in Macon, Ga., and attended The College of William and Mary. She lived in Norfolk and Virginia Beach for most of her life. Mrs. Tyler had been an active Presbyterian and was a member of the Episcopal Church in Charles City. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Colonial Dames, the United Daughters of the Confederacy and the Order of the Eastern Star.
Mrs. Tyler is survived by two sons, Dr. Robert B. Webb of Petersburg and Dr. Blair M. Webb of Bethesda, Md.; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren; a step-daughter, Ann Nedick of Charles City; two step-sons, David G. Tyler of Accomac and George Tyler of Newport News.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Sardis United Methodist Church Cemetery near La Crosse, Va. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home, South Hill, Va. Memorial contributions may be made to Sardis United Methodist Church.
