Martha T. Davis, 89, of the 100 block of Hatton St. died Jan. 2, 1997, in Portsmouth General Hospital.
A native of Portsmouth, she was the widow of Edward Davis. She was a member of Fellowship United Church of Christ, Chesapeake.
Survivors include her sister, Willie Etta Trotter of Portsmouth; three nieces, including Rosa M. Boone of Portsmouth; nephew, George Boone; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Fellowship United Church of Christ, Chesapeake, by the Rev. Winston E. Waugh. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home, Portsmouth, will begin at noon Monday. The family will be at the home of her niece, Rosa M. Boone, 205 Woodstock St., Portsmouth, and will assemble at the funeral home at noon Tuesday for the procession to the church for the funeral service. The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
