Fern E. Miller, 65, of the 5800 block of Sterling Court, died Jan. 4, 1997, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Miller, a native of Chicago, graduated with her B.A. from Beloit College, and received her master's degree from DePaul University. She was a member of Kehillat Bet Hamidrash of Virginia Beach. She was a judge for synchronized swimming and coach of the Virginia Aquamaides.
Survivors include her husband, Bernard H. Miller, M.D.; two daughters, Barbara S. Rudin of Campbell, Calif., and Ann K. Aboutboul of Tel Aviv, Israel; two sons, Julius S. Miller, M.D., of Chesapeake, and Horace J. Miller of Holland; and seven grandchildren, Jordan Rudin, Lisa Rudin, Robert Miller, Bessie Miller, Whitley Miller, Roni Aboutboul and Adi Aboutboul.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. today in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, by Rabbi Lawrence A. Forman and Cantor Jenifer Bern-Vogel. Memorial donations may be made to the Hebrew Academy of Tidewater. The family will be at 5804 Sterling Court in Virginia Beach.
