Police on Monday asked for the public's help to find a man who savagely attacked a woman in her home over the weekend.
Police spokesman Lou Thurston said the 52-year-old woman was beaten so badly in her home in Windsor Lake Place that she can't remember all of what happened. The woman couldn't describe the attacker and couldn't recall many details of the assault, Thurston said.
He said the woman was awakened sometime after 3 a.m. Sunday by a man in her bedroom who struck her repeatedly.
She called police after the man left and was taken to a hospital, where she remained Monday. Police did not release the woman's name because the attack may have been sexual, Thurston said.
Police are asking anyone who saw anything suspicious late Saturday or early Sunday in the area of the 600 block of Windsor Lake Place to call 427-0000.
