Carol P. Martin, 50, died Jan. 5, 1997.
Mrs. Martin worked as a real estate agent for Mary Spady Realty and also as a nurse. She was a Newport News resident and the widow of David Shannon Martin.
Survivors include her two daughters, Joanna Martin Miraflor of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Jena Martin of Norfolk; son, Edward Shannon Martin of Norfolk; brother, Richard Murphy of Yorba Linda, Calif.; three grandsons and a granddaughter.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
