George Louis Croft, 75, of the 900 block of Prince William Court, died Jan. 4, 1997, in his residence.
A retired reporter for The Boston Globe with 40 years of service, Mr. Croft was a Newton, Mass., native and the widow of Isabel Croft. He was a member of the American Legion and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was founder and first president of the Massachusetts Parents of the Deaf.
Survivors include his daughter, Joanna Wormington of Dendron, Va.; two sons, Evan Croft of Houston and George Croft of Ellington, Conn.; 10 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
The body will be sent to Keefe Funeral Home, Cambridge, Mass., for services and burial. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. Information provided by Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel.
