WESLEY W. PRICE

Wesley Woodell Price, 62, passed away Saturday Jan. 4, 1997, in Owensboro, Ky., during a Christmas visit.

He was of Avon, N.C., and formerly of Owensboro. He retired from the U.S. Coast Guard as a disabled veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Vivian Price; his mother, Geneva Price of Virginia Beach; two aunts, Lillie Belle Woodhouse of Virginia Beach, Pauline Mercer of Texas; a sister and brother-in-law, Gloria and Bob Tuccille of Virginia Beach; a brother and sister-in-law, Grayson and Lou Price of Gautier, Miss., and Avon; five children, Sherry Baier, Bryan Price, Robin Newnam, all of Virginia Beach, Kim Georges, Karen Grinnan, both of Norfolk; six grandchildren; a stepdaughter, Gwen Stepp; two step-grandsons, Greg and Steven Stepp; two great-grandsons, Jordan and Christopher Stepp, all of Owensboro; many friends in both areas; and very dear friends, Fred and Grace Brinkley of Chesapeake.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in St. John's Baptist Church, Virginia Beach. Visitation begins at 1 p.m. for friends and family at the church. Haley McGinnis Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Donations may be sent to heart and diabetic associations.
