William Edward Moody, 73, of Deerhead Community died Jan. 7, 1997, at his home.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Birmingham Moody; a daughter, Nancy Buck of Suffolk; sons, William E. Moody Jr., Kenneth Moody, both of Portsmouth, Estill Burkhead, Donny Moody, both of Chesapeake, James Moody, Steve Moody, both of Suffolk; a brother, Ernest Moody of Elizabeth City, N.C.; a sister, Tina Conkline of Marietta, Ga.; 19 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a son, the Rev. Wayne Burkhead, and a sister, Marie Holland.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. today in Ewton Funeral Home Chapel, Dunlap, by the Rev. Dennis Boston. Burial will be in Camp Cemetery.
