Cletus Hilton Paitsel, 80, of the 200 block of Dumont St., died Jan. 7, 1997.
A native of Selma, Va., he was a shipfitter for the Norfolk Naval Shipyard and a member of Church of God of Prophecy, Portsmouth.
Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Marie Paitsel; a daughter, Rachael Fulton of Harrisonburg, Va.; a son, Donnie Allen Paitsel of Portsmouth; four sisters, Christine Haney of Toledo, Ohio, Stella Boone of Clifton Forge, Va., Irene Mays of Salisbury, N.C., Betty June Nicely of Hopewell, Va.; five brothers, Elmer Paitsel, Charles Paitsel, both of Chesapeake, Carl Paitsel of Mineral, Va., Earl Paitsel of Selma, E.P. Paitsel of Pilot, N.C.; and two grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. William Paramore Jr. Entombment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in the funeral home.
