Infant Sarah Emily Karsen was born Dec. 24, 1996, in Virginia Beach and died Tuesday, Jan. 7, 1997. She was the loving daughter of Sean E. and Christine Henley Karsen of 1524 Hubbell Court, Virginia Beach, 23454.
In addition to her mother and father, she is survived by a brother, Evan N. Karsen of the home; maternal grandparents, Ann and Al Henley of Virginia Beach; paternal grandmother and grandfather, Geraldine and Daniel Birch of Virginia Beach; paternal grandfather and grandmother, Conrad and Danka Karsen of Canada; paternal great-grandmother, Elizabeth Cullipher of Virginia Beach; maternal great-grandparents, Frances and Toppie Riggs of Virginia Beach; two aunts, Laura Henley and Lisa Karsen, both of Virginia Beach.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Tabernacle United Methodist Church, 1265 Sandbridge Road, by the Rev. Jack E. Davis. Burial will follow in Willowood Cemetery. The family will be at the residence of Ann and Al Henley, 3112 Colechester Road.
Memorial donations may be made to the Tabernacle United Methodist Church Building Fund, or to the Sandbridge Rescue Squad, 305 Sandbridge Road, Virginia Beach, Va. 23456. Maestas Funeral Home, Baltic Ave. Chapel, is handling arrangements.
