John Cecil Law Jr., 77, of the 1400 block of North Woodhouse Road, died Jan. 9, 1997, in his residence.
Owner and operator of J.C. Law and Sons Flooring Inc., Mr. Law was a native of Vallejo, Calif., and a member of Atlantic Shrine No. 2 AF&AM, Khedive Temple of the Shrine, charter member of the Virginia Beach Power Squadron, past commander of the Elizabeth River Power Squadron.
Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Frances Briggs Law; daughter, Sandra Law Blasko of Virginia Beach; son, J.C. Law III of Virginia Beach and their mother, Amy Law; grandson, John Cary Law of Las Cruces, N.M.; friend and business partner for 71 years, Bill Jernigan.
A graveside funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk, by the Rev. Gary Wayne Ausbun. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sentara Hospice Group or the American Cancer Society.
