Ossie ``Bill'' Williams, 64, of the 1300 block of Wilroy Road, died Wednesday, Jan. 8, 1997, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
A sales representative for Brinks Home Security Systems, Mr. Williams was a native of Savannah, Ga., and the son of the late Ossie and Florence Simmons Williams. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Bute Street, Norfolk, and was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his son, Sheldon Ward Williams and his wife, Tammie; four sisters, Hattie Diamond, Emily Watson, Audrey Sinclair and Hannah Godwin; brother, Carol Williams; grandson, Stefan Marquis Williams; three children as close as grandchildren, Victoria E. Taylor, Andrew M. Taylor and Jessica L. Rodgers. He will also be missed by a special friend, Catherine D. Taylor, and her children, Andrea T. Claud, Eileen T. Rodgers and Andrew D. Taylor.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church, 418 E. Bute St., by Dr. Robert G. Murray. Riddick Funeral Service is in charge. Viewing will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home. The body will be placed in the church at noon Saturday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 6 p.m. today.
